Alzheimer’s Association to Present Program on “The Basics” of Memory Loss | Events
STERLING, Ill.--The Alzheimer's Association-Rock River Area Office will present a program entitled “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s” on Friday, Feb. 8 at the Whiteside County Senior Center. This is a program for anyone who would like to know more about dementia and Alzheimer’s. Participants learn about symptoms, causes and risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, the benefits of early detection, stages of the disease, treatment options, and ways the Association can help.
Whiteside County Senior Center is located at 1207 W. Ninth St., in Sterling. Program runs from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Cost is $5 for materials. Registration is required by Feb. 8 by calling the Rock River Office toll free at 800.272.3900.
