Wild Winter Wednesday presents good times with Coca Cola and popcorn | Events
FULTON, Ill.--Coca Cola and Popcorn will be the topics for Wild Winter Wednesday on February 20, 2013, at 9 a.m. at Fulton's Windmill Cultural Center.Janet Medendorp began her massive collection of Coca Cola items about twenty years ago. Her first purchase was a set of 3 Coca Cola Christmas ornaments and her collection now fills three rooms in her home in Garden Plain, Illinois. She will display many items from her collection. She was featured on the Fran Riley show in August 2012.
Charlie Crispin is the owner of Popcorn Charlie & Co. in Davenport, Iowa. He purchased his first commercial popper in 1986, progressed to a popcorn wagon, and in 1989 purchased the Popcorn Shoppe in Moline. He will be at the Cultural Center to talk about both his business and the products.
Participants in the February 20 program will have the opportunity to sample a variety of Coca Cola products as well as a variety of popcorn flavors as they learn about these popular snacks. The programs are free and the building is easily accessible.
